what’s the best way to book a session?
text 303.652.7323 with a few options of days and times that work for you. i will get back to you shortly, usually within 15-minutes to 3 hours.

can i book a last-minute session? do you take walk-ins?
the Radiant does not take walk-ins, however, a last-minute session is just a text away! (303.652.7323)

i’ve called a few times and there is no answer. what should i do?
if there is no answer it’s probably because i am in session. send a text or email and i will get back to you shortly.

is there anything i should do to prepare for my session?
if you are interested in Structural Integration and Myofascial Release, be sure to bring form-fitting undergarments. for Massage, just bring your body!

that said, it’s a good idea to give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the Studio so that you can arrive in a relaxed and centered space. if not, a portion of your Massage might be spent relaxing you out of the stress of arriving late.
if you sweat a lot or have a strong body odour, it might be a good idea to take a shower in the hours before your session, but this is not required.
lastly, it’s a good idea to not eat any large meals within two hours of your session.

what if i don’t like something about my Massage?

i make an effort to say this before every session, but if there is anything you’re not enjoying about your Massage or that could make you feel more comfortable, please say it! this time is for you, therefore, if anything is bothering you, please don’t feel shy to let me know. this can include virtually anything but especially if the pressure of the technique is too intense or not enough, if you are too hot or too cold on the table, if the music is too loud or soft, if the music bothers or distracts you, or even if you like a certain technique that i'm doing and you want me to stay there for a while cause it feels so good!
as a therapist, i do my best with my training, technique, and intuition to give you the best session possible. you, however, will always be the authority on what feels right for you, so please let me know. if you neglected to share something during a session, feel free to share it via text or email after so that i can know for your next session.

will my Massage Therapist be male or female?
as the Radiant is a boutique Studio, i am (a male) currently the Therapist for all appointments. if your preference is for a female but you are open to trying something new please feel free to share that with me. i would be happy to discuss ways in which you might feel more at ease, before, during, and after your session. also, i am happy to offer references from other men and women if you would like to speak with a same-gender client directly about their experience.

what’s the difference between a Masseur and a Masseuse?
a Masseur is male and a Masseuse is female.

what if i’m ringing the doorbell at 17 Wilson Avenue and there’s no response?
that’s cause there is no bell! as mentioned in the confirmation email you’ll receive after booking a session, please call the Studio (303.652.7323) to be let in to the building. if there is no answer it’s probably because i am in session. feel free to leave a voicemail or better yet, send a text. i'll be right down!

can i and my friend(s)/significant other get a Massage at the same time?
as the Radiant is a boutique Studio, there is only space for one client at a time. though there are no simultaneous sessions, you and friends are welcome to book consecutive sessions. there is a café directly downstairs that can serve as a waiting area. but please be aware that the businesses are not affiliated, so you would be required to make a purchase as you would at any other business.

what do i wear during the Massage? anything?

Massage is traditionally received in the nude as this allows for greater efficiency in movement (especially gliding techniques). you should, however, wear whatever will make you feel most comfortable during your session. that can mean anything from keeping all of your clothes on to being completely nude.
Structural Integration sessions are done with the client in form-fitting underwear or clothes.

will i be seen in the nude during my session?
no. i will leave the room to allow you to disrobe, and a top-sheet or blanket is always used during sessions. this means that whatever part of the body i am working on will be uncovered, and everything else will remain under the sheet. as body parts or regions are usually worked one at a time, this means that most of your body will always be covered.

should i be silent during the Massage? is it ok to make noise?
this is your experience, so you should feel free to do whatever feels natural to you! there is no mandate that you should be silent or totally still during your session. in fact, it can be helpful to me when a client makes some kind of noise during the session as it gives me a bigger clue into what they are experiencing at that moment. so, absolutely, sign, groan, hum-- or do whatever else comes naturally to you!

can i ask questions during my Massage?
absolutely! again, this is your experience, so you should feel free to do whatever feels natural to you! perhaps you’ve had a question about Massage that you’ve never asked; i’m happy to answer it as best i can. additionally, some people just feel more comfortable with some chatting during the session as it helps create a more relaxed environment for them. i don’t encourage talking for the duration of a session, however, if some chatting helps you feel more at ease, by all means we can do that.

can i remain in the room during my spouse's or friend's session?
given we are trying to create a relaxing therapeutic environment, i do not normally allow others in the Studio during sessions. the experience of being “watched” can be distracting both to the client and myself as the Massage Therapist. if there is an extenuating circumstance where a third party needs to be in the Studio it should be communicated in advance. asides from that, it can be helpful to think of getting a Massage as akin to a visit to your doctor or other health care professional; it is a Therapy and should be treated as such.

what do i do to schedule a free Meditation session?
Meditation Instruction is available to regular clients. after your first Bodywork session, you are free to mention your interest in Meditation when making your next booking and we'll schedule for you to arrive 30 minutes prior to your next Massage for Meditation Instruction and practice.

do you give reminder calls?
no. it is my standard practice to send a reminder email with pertinent details once a session is booked. the session is, however, confirmed at the time of booking and the 24-hour cancellation policy will apply regardless of whether a confirmation email or text was sent.

is the Radiant wheelchair accessible?
unfortunately, no. the Studio is located on the 3rd floor (two flights up) of 17 Wilson Avenue.Out-Calls are available, however, and i would be happy to come to you for a session.

what if my question wasn't answered here?
no problem! feel free to text 303.652.7323 with any further questions!
